Terrible experience with Hillcrest Apartments on Vulture St. South Brisbane on August 2010. Housekeeping helped themselves to food in the refrigerator and drank from an unopened bottle of softdrink. Upon complaint, staff was defensive, dismissive, and offered no apologies. To top it off, hotel manager cited racist comments about their Filipino housekeeper's diets of fish that they bring to lunch and therefor "could not possibly have stolen pizza". Ridiculous and ignorant.

Found this hotel very central to Brisbane city and enjoyed the beautiful walk. The only trouble we had was actually finding the place in the first instance but receptionist extremely helpful and guided us well

We booked 4 months in advance for accom over the Xmas period. Upon arriving, we recieved our keys and proceeded to our room where they were undertaking renovations - including painting. We weren't advised before arriving or even at the counter when checking in! When asked if we could change rooms the staff were incredibly rude and had to be pushed to find an alternate room for us. No dishwasher in the kitchens. You can hire DVD's but they don't have DVDplayers in the apartments and whilst they advertise Foxtel - they don't have it in the apartments. I was extremely disappointed with staff and services from this place and would never stay there again or recommend it.

We booked a month earlier only to find the hotel had sold our 2bdrm to some one else. seven of us were split up into 3 rooms. Insisted that we keep our kids with us in a room so we were then very cramped. The one bdroom hinterland suite had ants and a rodent with no lights working in the bathroom. we were charged for mini bar and breakfast that we did not use. Most disappointing.

Liked: The one bedroom view to river was the best part.
Disliked: being overcharged, having our room sold to some one else.
